Zirakpur police have registered a case after goods and assets worth around ₹1.5 crore were allegedly stolen from a luxury store on Oxford Street. The store owner has named his manager, Mohina Diwani, alias Deempi, as the primary suspect in the FIR.

According to the complaint, employees found the store’s locks broken when they reached there on August 9. They found more than 200 designer ready-made dresses and around 15,000 metres of imported fabric missing. The thieves also took away two air conditioners, a sound system, a laptop and a computer system containing business data and records. A manual administrative file containing employees’ identity documents, salary details and purchase invoices was also missing.
The complainant stated that a security guard saw Diwani near the rear side of the premises on the evening before the theft. When questioned about moving material, she allegedly told the guard that she was shifting the inventory.
The store management later checked her residential flat and found it vacant. According to the complaint, security staff at the residential complex said she had vacated the flat around two days before the theft was discovered. Police have registered a case under Section 306 (theft) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the area.
