Accountability will be fixed if people's grievances remain unresolved: UP CM Yogi Adityanath
Some people also sought financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked officials to promptly prepare estimates for the advanced treatment of those in need and make them available to the government.

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday directed officials to ensure time-bound and transparent resolution of people’s genuine grievances, saying that accountable would be fixed if a complainant is forced to approach the authorities a second time over an unresolved issue.Addressing people at his ‘Janta Darshan’ programme here, Adityanath, according to an official statement, said ensuring the satisfaction of complainants was the government’s objective and that failure to resolve a genuine grievance within the stipulated time was “unacceptable”.“If a victim comes for the second time with the same problem and the issue is genuine, accountability will be fixed,” the chief minister said, according to an official statement.Adityanath met people who had arrived from different parts of the state and personally heard their grievances.He assured them that their problems would be addressed and directed officials present at the programme to deal with every complainant with sensitivity.

He stressed that genuine grievances should be resolved in a time-bound and transparent manner.During the programme, some people complained about forcible encroachment on their land. The chief minister directed officials to take strict legal action if influential persons had illegally occupied land belonging to poor people.“Land should be freed from illegal or forcible occupation. Along with getting the land vacated, those responsible for forcibly occupying it should be given a strong legal lesson,” he said.Adityanath directed officials to ensure justice for the victims and punishment for those found responsible.
