BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain suffers cardiac arrest, hospitalized

NEW DELHI: Former Union minister and BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain suffered a cardiac arrest on Tuesday and has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
“BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital after a complaint of high blood pressure earlier today. The ECG and 2D Eco reports showed he suffered a minor heart attack,” PTI reported quoting officials.
Hussain has undergone angioplasty at the hospital.
The 54-year-old leader, who hails from Bihar, has also served as the national spokesperson of BJP.
He was the minister of textiles and the civil aviation minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
