Congress, Gandhis Rahu-Ketu of India’s destiny: Amit Shah

JAIPUR: Union home minister Amit Shah on Wednesday compared Congress and the Gandhi family to Rahu and Ketu (bad omens) for India’s destiny.
Addressing an election rally in Pali, he said the challenges the country faces are due to Congress and the Gandhi family. Assembly elections are due in the state on November 25.
“As you gave all 25 Lok Sabha seats from Rajasthanto BJP, it has empowered Modi-ji to raise the tricolour on the Moon through Chandrayaan.By holding the G20 Summit, he has showcased the power of India’s diplomacy,” Shah said.
“He worked round the clock to give 33% reservation to mothers and sisters in the new Parliament. But what is this Gehlot government doing? There are 19 cases of rape every day. Of the rape incidents across the country, 22% were recorded in Rajasthan,” he said.
Charging Congress with betraying 40 lakh youth due to paper leaks, he said, “Who is behind the paper leaks? The Congress government is behind the record number of paper leaks. It is deliberately done to give government jobs to Congress party supporters.” He assured the crowd that if BJP forms government it will investigate all cases of corruption and paper leaks. “This is the 21st public address. I am here telling Gehlot Sahab that the people of Rajasthan have leaked the paper of the elections and made it clear that Congress is losing the polls.”
Addressing the villagers, who came to the meeting wearing red turbans, he said, “Do not go in front of chief minister Ashok Gehlot wearing a red turban because the colour red re minds Gehlot of the red diary which has an account of his corruption.” He reiterated that if elected to government, they will buy wheat from farmers at Rs 2,700 per quintal. “We will also buy millet from our farmers, and gas cylinders will be given for Rs 450,” Shah said.
