VIJAYAWADA: Doctor-turned-politician Gottipati Lakshmi, who is contesting on a TDP ticket from Darsi assembly seat, has proved that her profession is more important than politics. She took to her professional responsibilities on top of political compulsions and attended to a pregnant woman to deliver a baby, leaving her campaign midway.
Lakshmi was amid electioneering when she received a message from her supporters that a pregnant woman had developed complications and she required a C-section surgery immediately.Lakshmi rushed to the patient’s rescue and performed the surgery on her.
