Lengteng Assembly Election Result 2023: Dr. L. Thangmawia from the Mizo National Front (MNF) is presently in the lead in the Lengteng Vidhan Sabha seat in the Mizoram district. He is competing against Lalhmingthanga Pachuau of the Indian National Congress and F. Rodingliana from the Zoram People’s Movement.

The vote counting for Lengteng began at 8 AM, and the latest updates from the Election Commission of India (ECI) website indicate that Dr.L. Thangmawia of the Mizo National Front (MNF) is leading with 2,679 votes. He is facing competition from Lalhmingthanga Pachuau of the Congress, who has 2,267 votes, and F. Rodingliana from the Zoram People’s Movement, with 1,003 votes.
In the 2018 elections, L Thangmawia of the Mizo National Front (MNF) emerged victorious, securing 6,430 votes and clinching the seat. The Indian National Congress candidate, H Rohluna, secured the second position with 4,658 votes, experiencing a defeat margin of 1,772 votes. The total number of electors for Lengteng in 2018 was 17,331.

About Lengteng Assembly Constituency: Lengteng is a constituent Assembly seat in the North region and Saitual district of the state of Mizoram, situated in the North East region of India. It falls within the Mizoram Lok Sabha constituency.
According to the report of the Delimitation Commission of 2008, Lengteng Assembly constituency has an estimated Scheduled Caste population of 0% and an estimated Scheduled Tribe population of 98.11%. As per the Census of India, 2011, the estimated literacy level in the district encompassing this constituency is 97.89%.
In the 2023 Mizoram Assembly elections, the total number of eligible electors in the Lengteng constituency was 18,588, with 9,313 being male and 9,275 female, and registered voters of the third gender.
The electorate sex ratio in Lengteng in 2023 was recorded as 996 female voters for every 1,000 male voters.
