MHA launches mobile app for those seeking citizenship under CAA

NEW DELHI: The ministry of home affairs on Friday launched a mobile app for Indian Citizenship applicants under the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.
Eligible applicants can download the app from Google play store or apply on the official website indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in, as per a ministry spokesperson.
Earlier, the ministry of home affairs introduced a portal for eligible individuals.
The regulations for implementing the controversial CAA were announced on Monday, facilitating the process of granting citizenship to undocumented non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
Following the issuance of the CAA rules, the government led by Narendra Modi will commence the process of conferring Indian nationality
