DINDIGUL: A construction worker from Tamil Nadu in Iraq has died, allegedly by suicide, hours after sending his wife a video complaining that he was harassed by some compatriots who made and uploaded “compromising clips”, the woman said Tuesday.

C Kokila said the circumstances surrounding the death of her husband P Chinnaiya, 45, were “suspicious” and appealed to the state government to help bring his body home.
Chinnaiya had gone to Iraq in July 2022. “He sent me a video on WhatsApp. He seemed distressed, asked me to take care of the family. He said some people were mentally torturing him,” Kokila said.
