No ban on Jagannath movie, artists must enjoy creative liberty, says Supreme Court

The Supreme Court rejected a plea to ban an animated film on Mahaprabhu Jagannath. Justices emphasized artists’ creative expression and tolerance for depicting deities. They noted that preventing such depictions would halt many religious television programs. The court stated that the Censor Board’s approval meant no judicial interference was needed. It refused to restrict artistic creativity based on the objections of a few.
